Makeup

Makeup

The methodology of putting your makeup on is a skill.
It’s amazing how you take care of your external femininity.

Somewhere in the middle of your blush and your mascara,
you turn and wink,
and woman I sink,
because there’s nothing more beautiful to me,
than the silent understanding
between you and I,
that you are my only one.

The brush of your blush,
the shine of your gloss,
the allure of your eye shadow,
all reveals your exquisite taste
for looking great
and chasing after the day.

Your perfect exterior only highlights your strength.

But at the end of the day,
when you take your makeup off,
you are the simplest form of art.

You wash it off and
you begin the change,
from super woman to
a normal, perfect girl.
You take off your heels
and you undress,
leaving behind the stress of your day.

In your pajamas with your makeup off,
the switch catches me off guard
and leaves me breathless every time,
because you’re delightful to watch.

Your incredible beauty
and your admirable courage
come from your heart,
radiating
to the naked eye,
and at the end of the night
I get to see you just as you are.

Whether the sun is shines or the moon is bright,
my eyes rejoice
and my heart feels home,
because I get to see you
makeup or not.
